ADSU Purpose

The Albrecht Dürer Study Unit, originally organized in 1978, has been reorganized and is dedicated to the philately of Albrecht Dürer. The word “philately” encompasses stamps that depict the artist and his work, postal items related to the artist, commemorative postmarks for anniversaries and events, and more. The members of ADSU contribute to the growth and refinement of the ATA’s checklist of Dürer-related stamps, they contribute research and writings for the Dürer Journal and other publications, and they support other collectors in their quest for new and unique postal items and information. Members come from all walks of life and from around the world.
